We are your trusted source for all of your lodging needs. With a wide selection of properties ranging from condos, beach houses, cabins, and vacation homes, you are sure to find vacation rentals of all types and sizes to suit your needs. Commonly known as " vacation rentals " by many Americans, this name generally refers to a much broader scope of properties. The term " vacation rental " can actually refer a cabin, condo, beach house, vacation home, vacation apartment, bed and breakfast, chalet, cottage, town house, or a villa, just to name a few. Whatever name you prefer to call them, their advantages are endless. Their price is usually around that of a hotel, but you will receive more of the comforts of your own home. Many allow you the opportunity to cook a meal in a full sized kitchen, read a book on the couch, or take a swim in a private pool. Vacation rentals are especially a great alternative when traveling with a large group, due to the many variations in size, some even offer discounted rates when traveling in a large group. Beach houses are one of several popular types of vacation rentals. Because many beach houses are located just steps from the beach, you and your party are able to enjoy an abundance of water activities and scenic sunsets! A beach house is an ideal rental for travelers looking for something more than the normal. Some of the most popular locations for these types of vacation rentals include Florida , Hawaii , and California . Another popular form of rental properties are vacation homes. Vacation homes are often extremely nice homes that have been redesigned with the traveler in mind. Many of these homes have private pools and numerous bedrooms for larger parties or simply privacy. Almost all come equipped with full kitchens, usually stocked with pots, pans and utensils. Vacation homes also generally come equipped with TVs, DVD players, and all the equipment you would want to make your travel experience one to remember. U.S.-EU Pact Could Revolutionize Air Travel, U.S. Official Says- U.S. Department Of State Advanced Search/Archive Español | Français | Pycckuú | | | You Are In: USINFO Products Washfile U.S.-EU Pact Could Revolutionize Air Travel, U.S. Official Says Transportation official says changes would enhance competition in "dramatic way" By Vince Crawley Washington File Staff Writer Washington – A tentative Open Skies agreement to deregulate air travel between the United States and the European Union could revolutionize trans-Atlantic passenger service by allowing free-market competition for routes and fares, a senior U.S. official says. “A U.S.-EU aviation agreement would not only bring an entirely new level of liberalization to trans-Atlantic air services, but would facilitate the most important reinvention of international aviation we have ever seen,” Jeffrey N. Shane, under secretary for policy at the Department of Transportation (DOT) said December 8. “It can be expected to enhance the quality of competition across the Atlantic in a dramatic way,” Shane said, speaking to the Royal Aeronautical Society in Montreal. The tentative agreement, announced by negotiators November 18, would allow every EU and U.S. airline to fly between every city in the European Union and every city in the United States, according to a Department of State fact sheet. It would allow U.S. and EU airlines to determine the number of flights and their routes and fares according to market demand, as well as to enter freely into such cooperative arrangements with other airlines as code-sharing and leasing. (See related article .) Currently, air services between the United States and European Union countries are conducted under bilateral aviation agreements with each EU member state. A number of the agreements are so-called Open Skies pacts that set liberal ground rules for international aviation markets and minimize government intervention. The U.S.-EU Open Skies agreement, if approved, would replace those bilateral pacts with a single policy. Shane said media accounts seem to miss the importance of the tentative agreement. “I must tell you that many of us on the U.S. side are more than a little puzzled at how accounts of this effort to conclude the most far-reaching agreement in the entire history of international aviation have been reduced to the story of a U.S. Department of Transportation rulemaking proceeding,” he said. “The press seems to have missed the most important point: that the agreement concluded in November by the two delegations, with or without the rulemaking, has the potential to transform the trans-Atlantic aviation market in fundamental ways.” The agreement “brings U.S.-E.U. relations into conformity with the requirements of European law at long last,” Shane said. “The willingness of the United States to eliminate the traditional nationality clause that is currently in every U.S. bilateral agreement -- meaning that an EU airline’s flights to the U.S. will no longer have to begin or end in that airline’s home country -- is more an advantage for EU carriers than for U.S. carriers, and means that consumers on both sides of the Atlantic would enjoy a quality of competition that exceeds anything we have seen up to now,” he said. “Potentially even more important,” he said, “the draft agreement would open an infinity of new possibilities for the reinvention of the EU airline industry. The anachronistic bilateral impediments to otherwise sensible mergers and other combinations – even under existing Open Skies agreements -- would be swept away on day one, and the implications for a more robust and competitive global presence by EU carriers would be profound.” EU transport ministers, Shane said, will take further action on the tentative pact after the outcome of a pending DOT rulemaking that would give foreign investors in U.S. airlines more of a say in business practices. That proposed rulemaking, which is open for comments from the public until January 6, 2006, would apply only to international investors from countries that have open-skies aviation agreements with the United States and allow similar investments by U.S. citizens in their domestic airlines. (See related article .) Shane said the department will need about two months to evaluate comments after the comment period closes and issue a final rule. The full text of Shane’s speech is posted on the Department of Transportation Web site. On this page you'll find details on the standard Disneyland packages, as well as current discounted packages. Most of the packages listed below can be booked online at Disneyland.com . However, I find the online reservations system to be confusing and clunky. Also, you really have to dig around online to find out the restrictions and cancellation fees, etc. If you're going to spend the money to buy a vacation package, I strongly recommend using a travel agent who specializes in Disney travel . It costs you nothing, and you can sit back, relax, and have all the vacation planning and hassle taken care of by someone else. United Airlines Kids Fly Free Promo United Airlines is offering a "Kids Fly Free" promotion for travel between 1/3/06 and 4/27/06. With this promo, one child (age 2-11) flies "free" per one a paid adult airfare , when you buy a Disneyland vacation package. Sounds great, right? Unfortunately, however, this package isn't a great deal in many cases , because it requires you to choose certain fare classes for the adult ticket(s), which are usually MUCH more expensive than the cheapest discounted advance-purchase ticket(s). Often it would be cheaper to book a discounted adult and child fare instead. However, I'm listing this offer because it occasionally works out to be a good deal in certain circumstances. The "Kids Fly Free" promo can be combined with the "Everyone Plays at the Kids Price" or "Kids Play FREE" offer above . Applies to packages purchased from selected cities only and must be booked by 4/7/06. You must arrive at Disneyland by 4/25/06 and travel must be completed by 4/27/06. Blackout dates apply and packages are subject to availability. You can book a "Kids Fly Free" package online at Disneyland.com . Fall 2005 - "One Night FREE" Package Special Guests who purchase a 4-night or longer Disneyland Resort Magic vacation package for arrivals most dates 8/28/05 through 12/19/05* get one night FREE! *Blackout dates apply, including Thanksgiving week. Book a minimum four-night Disneyland Resort Magic vacation package with tickets included and get one night FREE (pay for three or more nights, get one free). Offer subject to availability, advance reservations required, restrictions apply. All attractions and entertainment, prices, types and features of tickets, special offers and events, and age ranges may be seasonal and are subject to change without notice. Thanks to Small World Vacations for info. To book a "One Night FREE" package, please contact a Disney Specialist travel agent . Packages for Disneyland Annual Passholders Now Disneyland Annual Passholders can purchase Disneyland Resort packages without purchasing tickets. Packages may also include meals, tours, accommodations and other exclusive items that make your visit to the Disneyland Resort truly magical. 2005 packages include: Accommodations at one of the hotels of the Disneyland Resort Preferred Seating to select shows at Disney's California Adventure New! Mickey's Toontown Morning Madness! Guests can enter Toontown an hour before the general public. Special 2005 Walt Disney Travel Company collectible pin and lanyard (one per person) Special Walt Disney Travel Company Luggage Tag Special Walt Disney Travel Company California Fun Book (one per package) Call (800) 824-1146 or (714) 520-5060 to book these packages. Last Minute Packages to Disneyland through Expedia Some of the last-minute Expedia packages are a good value, especially if you need airfare. Sometimes it costs less to buy one of these packages than it would to buy the airfare alone. Definitely worth a look if you're interested in a low-cost getaway to Disneyland.
