Our Japan Travel Guide is written exclusively by travellers in Japan - and in particular by and for travelling students. Every destination in the guide is visited regularly by the project team (usually several times per year), and each file is continuously updated. All guides are in a print ready format in several languages . When planning a trip or before heading to a destination you can easily supplement your " deadtrees " guidebook with much more detail. The virtual guidebook includes bulletin boards where community members can receive and/or share information on good accommodation and out-of-the-way places, and extensive on demand streaming media sourced from Yamasa.tv and Okazaki.fm . Most of the guide is free access (including all video and streaming media), though in some cases we will require registration (free) before the video can be streamed. Please note that due to high and on-going development and maintenance costs, for some of the more valuable bulletin boards or web accessible resources such as the reservations service and the low cost accommodation database we will require you to acquire a password . Fears of traveling overseas have subsided and global tensions have cooled. Planning your European vacation need not be difficult. Once you determine the length of your vacation, the fun part is deciding where to spend your time. Compared with other continents, Europe is compact, and crossing borders into other countries is relatively easy provided you remember to bring a valid passport! Each country has its own draw, which can complicate your European vacation itinerary. For example, you can head to Italy where you can retrace the steps of the Ancient Romans. You can enjoy an exhilarating ski vacation in Australia or Switzerland. You can travel through the streets of England for a fun-filled evening of pub-hopping. You might travel to one of the many Greek isles where you can sit back in an ancient arena and experience an open-air performance. For a truly unique memory, nothing beats a tour of the magnificent castles that dot the German countryside. You can even spend your time doing nothing except taking in the sights and sounds of the cosmopolitan French Riviera. When packing for your European vacation, be sure to bring along a converter or adapter for your electrical items, a camera, a money bag, some Euros, and as mentioned previously, your passport. Bring along an empty duffle bag or collapsible suitcase so that youll have room to bring back all your goodies. Even if you dont plan to shop while on vacation, you will. Its an irresistible experience. Finally, bring along an appetite, because in Europe, youll experience some of the finest cuisine ever.
