Stayed in a two bedroom unit, with full length lanai overlooking fishponds and ocean. Had a great experience working with South Kohala Management, which represents condos in several properties on the Big Island. Unit was very modern, including fully equipped kitchen with washer/dryer, dishwasher, microwave, etc. Unit had two and one half baths, making for easy beach recovery. Lanais off the master bedroom, living room and dining areas. Property offered access to private "beach club", which was never crowded, had bar/restaurant for lunch and great swimming and snorkeling. Even had a daily visit from a friendly sea turtle! Complex also had a pool and jacuzzi. Condo truly exceeded our expectations. While expensive, we concluded the property and unit offered real value, luxury and comfort. Website for Mauna Lani Realty offers maps/floorplans of condo units--worth checking out in deciding which unit to request. Traveler rating: Kamuela: Mauna Lani Terrace Condominiums : "Old and tired" Jan 31, 2002 : Anonymous Compare prices with: Mauna Lani Terrace was recommended to me by my Grandfather as a "very nice" condominium complex near the water on the big island of hawaii. It turned out to be a very expensive collection of slightly tired condos far away from resturants and services. The beaches were small, and there was just one "lagoon" area to swim in. All in all a lot of money for very little. I think of it as a 60's solution to a captive vacation experience, like Disneyland. Caorle continued its history into the Roman era as a natural port for supplying nearby Julia Concordia.The depredations of Attila the Hun in Italy dorve the peoples of Venetia and Friuli to take refuge in these lidos and the town wa probably founded in 452 AD. Today, Caorle offers the visitor an attractive picture, both when viewed from the land and from the sea. Caorlevivistoria (Caorle's history come alive) and the Fraima festival are events that evoke a past that its inhabitants think back on fondly and which they bring back to life with splendid historical costumes and folklore. Bibione is located in a vast pinewood and has a beach of unparalleled proportions. Bibion developed as holiday resort in the sixities, although archaeological discoveries show that there was already a settlement here in Roman times. Bibione "Tuttaspiaggia" (measureless beaches) has won a name for itself thanks to the lienght and wdth of tis dandy shores on which the sun shines from dawn the dusk. The beaches are full of orderly, colourful rows of sun shades. It offers safe cycle routes, a splendid sea front and a variety of sporting facilities that make it the ideal place for different activities. Its new and highly modern "Bibione Thermae" spa (recognized by the Italian National Health Service) exploits the alkaline bicarbonate-sodiumfluorate waters that gush out at 52 C and offers mud treatment, bathing therapy, inhalation therapy, and physiokinesis therapy; there is also a well equipped gymnasiums as well as a spa park overlooking the sea with covered thermal and open air swimming pools. The Caorle and Bibione's sorroundings offer a good number of different kind of itineraries: Historical-Artistic-Architectural itineraries which include Portogruaro, Villanova, Fratta, Teglio Veneto, Summaga, Fossalta. Portogruaro is the capital of eastern Venetia and is located halfway between Venice and Trieste. This partly Medieval and partly Renaissance town has the river Lemene running through it, which at every turn offers incredibly beautiful views. The heart of the city is Piazza della Repubblica, to which the Town Hall forms a backdrop. This is considered to be the finest Medieval building in Portogruaro, the oldest part of which dates back to the fourteenth century. Some of the building overlooking the two main streets have have porticoes and are magnificient examples of Italian and Venetian Gothic style from the 14th and 15th centuries. At Portogruaro there is the interesting Museo Nazionale Concordiense . It contains many exhibits, which come from the neighbouring Concordia Saggittaria. The Renaissance Villa Marzotto that belongs to the town council is also worth a visit: it boasts a nice park and it houses the M. Gortani Paleontological Museum. Concordia , situated about 3 km south of Portogruaro, was a Roman settlement and boasts a nice Archeological museum and a nice ancient cathedral with its Byzantine baptistery. The area around these historical towns is rich in natural itineraries that will show you the typical cultivation, parks, woods and lake and in vineyards and the D.O.C.Wine-producers (Controlled Denomination of Origin). It is located at 41.40°N Latitude and 2.17°E Longitude. What is the Population of Barcelona?:  The population of Barcelona in 2003 was around 1.5 million people. Getting to Barcelona by Air:  Barcelona's Airport is 13 km (8 miles) from the city of Barcelona. It has three terminals and its airport code is BCN. A taxi takes 20-30 minutes to get into town and costs 15-25 euros. Train services to the airport are available every 30 minutes from Clot-Arago, Arc de Triomf, Placa Catalunya and Barcelona Sants stations. Cost is 2.10 Euros. A bus runs every 15 minutes from the Plaza Catalunya to the airport. The fee is 3.30 Euros one-way. Barcelona Train Stations:  The two main stations serving Barcelona are Estaciós (stations) Sants and França. Sants services destinations in Spain and a few international trains, while most long distance trains (from Geneva, Milan, Paris and Zurich) depart from Estació França. Barcelona Bus Stations:  Estació del Nord is the larger of the two. It handles busses to most major Spanish cities as well as hosting international busses run by Eurolines/Linebús and Starbus. Location: Carrer d'Alí Bei near the Arc de Triomf metro station. The Estació d'Autobuses de Sants near the Sants train station handles buses to Montserrat and international services operated by Eurolines/Julià Via. Tourist Information:  Centre d'Informació Turisme de Barcelona in the Plaça de Catalunya, tel: 906 30 12 82 Language:  Traveling in Catalonia can be quite a challenge for those of us who speak a tiny bit of Spanish but no Catalán, the language of the region. Rest assured that Barcelona is a major travel destination, so you'll see menus in both Spainish and Catalán, and many folks speak a bit of English as well. What to do in Barcelona:   Walk La Rambla - One of the world's greatest boulevards. Watch people, gawk at performing artists, grab a bite to eat at the market, and watch your wallet. Take in the Picasso Museum - One of Barcelona's top art attractions, known for its large collections of the artist's earlier years. Open Tue-Sat 10am-8pm, Sun 10am-3pm. 5 Euros, Students pay half that. It's free the first Sunday of the Month. Fondació Joan Miró - Get contemporary by visiting a museum featuring the works of one of the greatest Catalan artists in the Placa Neptu. 7 Euro admission. Open Tue-Wed 10am-7pm, Thu 10am-9.30pm, Fri-Sat 10am-7pm, Sun 10am-2.30pm. Gaudi all over - Visit the Parc Güell that contains the Casa-Museu Gaudí , where Gaudi lived from 1906-1926. Free. Then visit the Sagrada Familia , the church Gaudi devoted 18 years of his life to constructing and it's not done yet. 5 Euros to get inside, which gets you great views of Barcelona and, for the cellar dwellers, a peek into the crypt containing the fascinating history though photos and drawings. Walk the twisty lanes of the Gothic quarter - Free and interesting. Lunch at the Mercat La Boquería - at 101 La Rambla, it's Spain's best market. Inside are several tapas bars. Pull up a stool and eat the best that comes to market that day. Cathedral Crawl - The cloister is a fine and most peaceful place if you ever need to escape the beautiful hustle and bustle of Barcelona.
