If you bring your own car to Austria, and intend to drive on the motorways, you will need to buy a vignette -- available from service stations -- and stick it in your window. Vignettes can be bought for ten days, one month, two months or a year. There are also tolls on some of the tunnels, but you may prefer to drive over the passes in the summer months. By Train -- Austria connects well with all of Europe's major cities. Timetables .
